The new GP1 Racing series offers a step forward from anything that currently exits on the market in Australia. Drawing on the concept of a motorbike chassis, and Derbi's rich racing heritage, the performance naturally matches the stunning looks.

Derbi has a rich sporting heritage and its history in World Championship Road Racing dates back to 1962. Derbi are currently competing in the ultra-competitive 125cc Moto GP championship, trying to add to their 5 World titles. In 2007, Lukas Pesec finished 3rd in the 125cc championship on his Derbi after challenging for the title for most of the season.
